GMKtec EVO-X2 AI Mini PC Alternatives: 3 Similar Picks Compared

Desktops with distinct strengths

MSI Codex Z2 RTX 5070 Gaming Desktop

The MSI Codex Z2 trades the compact footprint of the EVO-X2 for a standard tower chassis that houses an RTX 5070 GPU and a Ryzen 7 processor. You gain 32GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD storage, which doubles the capacity of the base EVO-X2 configuration. This setup suits gamers who need room for large game libraries and high-resolution textures. The desktop weighs 21.3 pounds and measures 16 inches in length. While it lacks the AI-centric branding of the GMKtec, it provides robust raw performance for 1440p gaming. You sacrifice portability for this increased storage and memory headroom, making it a better fit for a stationary desk setup rather than a portable or space-constrained environment.

KOTIN RTX 5070 Ryzen 7 9700X Gaming PC

The KOTIN RTX 5070 Ryzen 7 Gaming PC introduces a smart display directly on the chassis, a feature absent from the GMKtec EVO-X2. This allows you to monitor system temperatures, CPU usage, and GPU load without opening additional software or using a second screen. It pairs this unique interface with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. The dimensions are 16.8 inches long and 14.3 inches high, making it slightly larger than the EVO-X2 but still relatively compact for a tower. This model targets users who value real-time hardware monitoring and 1440p gaming performance. You trade the ultra-compact form factor for this interactive display and enhanced visibility into system health, ideal for enthusiasts who like to tweak settings and watch performance metrics closely.

Skytech King 95 RX 9070 XT Gaming PC

The Skytech King 95 focuses on raw gaming power with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor and 32GB of RAM, paired with 1TB of SSD storage. It is significantly larger and heavier than the EVO-X2, weighing 58.7 pounds and measuring 18.7 inches in length. This desktop is designed for users who prioritize maximum frame rates and include peripherals in the package. The substantial size means it requires a dedicated desk space and offers no portability. You gain top-tier gaming performance and included accessories, but you give up the compact, minimalist design that defines the GMKtec EVO-X2. This choice is best for gamers who want a high-performance stationary machine with ready-to-use accessories rather than a space-saving mini PC.
